CMA Manoj Kumar Anand

Vice President (2026-27)

CMA Manoj Kumar Anand is an elected member of the Council of the Institute for the term 2023–27 and a Member of the Public Sector Advisory Group (PSAG) of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) for the term 2024–27. He is the Former Principal Advisor (Cost), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and has served as the Chairman of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICMAI during 1997–98 and 2000–01. A Fellow Member of ICMAI, CMA Anand holds an M.Com degree and an MBA (Finance) from the Strathclyde Graduate Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. Before joining the Central Government in the 1988 batch, he worked with HMT, Pinjore and Philips, Mohali. During his distinguished tenure with the Central Government, he served in various Ministries and organisations, including the Department of Company Affairs, Tariff Commission (Bureau of Industrial Cost and Prices), Ministry of Defence (Finance), Department of Commerce, Directorate General of Anti-Dumping, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the Department of Food & Public Distribution. He handled a wide range of assignments relating to financial management, cost accounting, tariff policy formulation, tariff regulations, costing studies, public procurement systems, and other core financial and regulatory matters. With over four decades of active professional experience and extensive national and international exposure, CMA Anand has made significant contributions to the profession of Cost and Management Accounting and to public financial administration.
